This policy explains how CineQuill processes personal data when you use the website, create an account, work on projects, use AI features, or purchase a paid plan.
Controller and contact
JIGO SRL, registered office at Via Cesare Beccaria 11, 00196 Roma, Italia, VAT 17075981005, SDI recipient code M5UXCR1. JIGO SRL is the data controller for personal data processed through CineQuill.
For privacy requests, data rights or questions, write to hello@jigoweb.com. For legally formal communications, use the certified email address jigo@pec.it. The company website is https://www.jigoweb.com/.
No DPO has been appointed at this time. If one is appointed later, this section will be updated.
Data we process
- Account and authentication data: email, user ID, sessions, magic links, password reset and login data.
- Profile and preference data: display name, bio, avatar, editor preferences, language and theme.
- Creative content: projects, story bible, characters, structure, scenes, screenplays, revisions, backups and comments.
- Collaboration data: invitations, roles, workspaces, memberships and invited email addresses.
- AI data: prompts, selections, project context, chat messages, generated outputs, embeddings for semantic retrieval (when enabled) and token usage metrics.
- Billing data: Stripe customer ID, plan status, checkout sessions, payment metadata and AI budget usage.
- Technical and measurement data: application logs, IP address in infrastructure logs, user agent, referrer, errors, security data and, with consent where required, analytics data via Google Tag Manager / GA4 and Microsoft Clarity (including heatmaps and session recordings).
Purposes and legal bases
- Contract performance: creating and managing accounts, projects, workspaces, editor, exports, AI features, billing and requested support.
- Legal obligations: retaining tax, accounting and payment-related information where required.
- Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention, debugging, service availability, collaboration invites and cookieless aggregated Vercel Analytics.
- Consent: Google Tag Manager, GA4, Microsoft Clarity and related non-essential measurement or marketing cookies/tags, when you enable them through the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via «Manage cookies» or by declining non-essential cookies.
Content and AI features
Your content remains yours. CineQuill does not claim ownership over your works and does not train proprietary models on your projects.
When you use Copilot, selection rewrite or field generation, CineQuill sends Anthropic the text needed to perform the request: prompt, selected text, project context and operational instructions. No AI analysis runs in the background without an action from you.
If semantic screenplay retrieval is enabled, text fragments may be sent to Voyage AI to generate embeddings used only to retrieve context within your project.
Processing by AI providers follows their commercial terms and applicable contractual settings (including any commitments not to use customer content to train public models). Always review outputs before using them.
Do not include unnecessary third-party personal data, special categories of data or confidential information in projects or prompts if you do not want that information processed by an AI provider.
Cookies, localStorage and analytics
CineQuill uses necessary or functional cookies and local storage: Supabase sessions for authentication, language cookies, localStorage for theme, project orientation, UI preferences, legacy chat-history migration and analytics-consent preference.
Vercel Analytics runs in a cookieless, aggregated mode to measure pages and non-identifying conversions, without marketing cookies.
In production, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are also available. These tools stay blocked until you consent via the cookie banner (Consent Mode / Clarity consent). If you decline, we do not enable marketing cookies or session replay; Google may still receive limited, non-identifying signals under advanced Consent Mode. Clarity may record page interactions (clicks, scrolls, heatmaps and session replays) only after consent: avoid entering unnecessary sensitive data in visible fields during a recorded session. You can change your choice anytime via «Manage cookies».
Processors and recipients
- Supabase: authentication, database, storage, RLS rules and sessions.
- Vercel: hosting, technical logs and cookieless Vercel Analytics.
- Stripe: checkout, subscriptions, top-ups, invoicing and customer portal. CineQuill does not store full card details.
- Anthropic: processing AI requests initiated by the user.
- Voyage AI: embeddings for semantic screenplay retrieval when the feature is enabled.
- Resend: transactional email (signup confirmation, magic link, password reset, email change, collaboration invites and related Auth notifications).
- Google (Tag Manager / Analytics): measurement and configured tags, only after consent where required.
- Microsoft Clarity: behavioral analytics, heatmaps and session recordings, only after consent where required. Processing follows Microsoft's privacy statement and the Clarity project settings.
Transfers outside the EEA and safeguards
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area or use international subprocessors. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (for example Standard Contractual Clauses) and the providers' contractual commitments.
Retention
- Account and profile: for the life of the account and as needed for requests, security and legal obligations.
- Creative content: while it remains in your account or workspace, subject to technical backups and operational deletion windows.
- AI chat, revisions, embeddings and token usage: to provide continuity, quota controls, debugging and security.
- Billing and payments: for the periods required by tax, accounting, contractual and anti-fraud obligations.
- Technical logs: for limited periods proportionate to security, diagnostics and service availability.
- Cookie-consent preference: while stored on your device or until you make a new choice.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent where applicable. To exercise your rights, write to hello@jigoweb.com. We aim to respond within 30 days, subject to identity verification or request complexity.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali — https://www.garanteprivacy.it).
To protect the account, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request.
Children
CineQuill is not designed for users below the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal data without authorization, contact us to request deletion.

We may update this policy when the product, providers, legal bases or regulatory requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through proportionate means.
